I have a VEC 2 on my truck. Is there any real difference between the 2 and the 3?? Well, I guess the real question is, is there a big enough difference to justify me spending the $1000 or so to upgrade?:dontknow:
Thanx

upgrade cost about 300$, the only major difference is AIT(air intake temp) monitor...not worth doing, build the motor first then worry about it. or sell your VEC 2 and then buy a VEC3

Can you get better results as far as tuning with the VEC3? If theres no big difference, I'll just leave the 2 on there

porkay?...(why?)

My tuner doesn't have a whole lot of experience with the SCT. Plus, most of the guys with major power have stayed with the VEC.:dontknow: If it aint broke, don't fix it

Good deal. Thanks Carlo:rock:

You can use the VEC and SCT in tandem. The SCT can modify the things that I had to have my PCM flashed for. I would not try modifying fuel and timing in both places at the same time though.
