Don't raise the RPMs that much. You are engaging torque management and killing your power....Launch from idle and press the gas steadily. The speed will depend on how much wheel spin you get....

I have been wondering about this ^^, cause when I was trying to launch my truck I was usually brake torquing it for a while while I wait for the other guy to get his second stage lights on, and when I launched (although I was rolling onto the throttle instead of just mashing it) it would never kickdown and shoot the rpm's up. It would just slowly accelerate from the rpm's I launched at. I have only made 5 passes in my truck so far though so I havent got to test out what it launches better at, but have been wondering if the computer would be taking power away if your brake torquing it for too long. Kinda worried about just mash and go off idle since your not able to take the "slack" out of the driveline that way. Has anyone done a on board data log or of the sort to see if the computer is actually pulling power?
