Question on Methanol

OK I've been doing some thinking, and methanol doesn't seem like a bad option for my next mod. I have a couple of questions for you folks:

1) What types of HP and TQ gains are you seeing from the install?
2) Would this be suitable for N/A applications? For a turbo, you install an intercooler, but I have'nt seen one being made for N/A applications. Is this the answer?
3) Is the tune mandatory after the install? This might sound dumb, but I can't afford to buy the PCM upgrade (Another upgrade I wish to purchase in the near future). Would it be best to hold off instead?

Hey Juan....

Skip the meth for now.....save up for the computer from DC next....

Meth will allow a more aggressive tune without detonation....

Get the flash or Midpipes or caltracs....

LOL. Is it just me juan or are we getting ready for a showdown? I'm also looking around for some mods for the 17th.
 
Haha I just want to make up for lack of launching skills. I can't get the heel-to-toe or power brake setup with my feet, so I need more power to compensate! :eek:
 
It is going to be hot at Famosa so...get to DC and get the flash and the 170 t-stat (cheap)...also bring some dry ice for the manifold...

You guys should be in the mid 13's there......and hopefully 103-104 mph....

Also bring a bottle of Simple green...will show you when we get there......stickey tires.......:D

Only until Walt...Stink....1fast400 or maybe even Blake decide to go to the track......:D

I might have to blow my motor soon just to keep up....:star:

I was actually thinkin about the flash(from steve austin sold already) yet i was readin on the other place that it may not be all that it's cracked up to be. even read that many did not even see a change in temp. I'm really confused over wether i should sit tite and save my money for the clutch, flywheel, and SLAVE CYLinDER. Or if I should just get some Midpipes and caltracs. I think i'm gonna make some midpipes with exhaust cut outs. Does anyone know what size piping we have? i'll prolly by the bends off summit. Also where and how much are the o2 sims?

Boss you are in LA you will get a Chris Jenson flash from DC performance...you will see the difference....

Go to a muffler shop have them cut out the cats weld in some pipe with bungs and add the sims......nice cheap mod....

Dont slip the clutch and you wont loose it!!! Lots of guys still have the stocker in there. Some with SC too!!! Just dont slip it when launching. Nowhat's idea with the cats will save you some cash and give you some extra horsies too!!

For a really easy and inexpensive mod....have the muffler shop just cut out 1 set of the cats and you don't even need the sims...

Major Muffler on Santa Monica Blvd on West L.A....but that is a drive for you....try another shop in your area....you will find someone....Off road only.....it is a race truck now...

He's only on my team now cuz Im usin his boys....hehe...proof is in the puddin, til somebody beats MIke.....He's my HHHHHEEEEEERRRRROOOOOOO!!
 
It is possible to just send in the PCM for DC or BG to flash right....I don't have to buy a new one if I don't want to correct?

If I go with one of those flashes...can I then add the Meth injection or do I need the VECII for that?

I would'nt mind going there as long as they will do it. Anyone have an idea how much the O2 sims cost?
