I have 10k miles on her and wondering if I need to change manual trans fluid. In the owners manual it says the fluid should last for the life of the truck. But alot of guys on here change every 5k miles. Also, a lot of folks post that using a diff. fluid will possibly void warranty.
Couldn't you just change the fluid back to OE befeore taking it in for service? Finally in the 05 RC manual it says to use 75W/85W but my dealer gave me 75W-90. What is the difference?

75W-90 is a little thicker when cold.

I think I will go with the Mobil 1 synt ATF. I think maybe the dealer gave me the 75W-90 think I was wanting rear axle fluid? Isnt that for the axel?

I'm in FL so I went with the 75w85 royal purple and I couldn't be happier, it shifts waaaay smoother. Also did first oil change and went to royal purple 5w30, fantastic stuff!

I have never used the stuff but have only heard very good things about it.
