I have only had my truck for a month so this may be a stupid question but I can't get any relief on this. My truck has the uconnect mirror and the rb4 tuner in it, the cell phone is v2.0 bluetooth capable. I can't seem to activate the uconnect to sync my phone. Does having the uconnect mirror mean I have the function, or is this the same mirror that is used if you only have auto dimming?

S

You have to start the pairing procedure on the truck FIRST, then you do the phone. Have you tried that?

Yes sir...I think. I push the uconnect button on the mirror and get no response. The mirror appears to have a red led just left of the green for the auto dimming. This isn't lit ever. Should the display on the tuner change or respond to pushing the button. Or is there another method to start the pairing procedure?

S

No when you push the button a lady should start talking to you (I call her LOw-la) if she isn't talking then you have something wrong. Check the all fuses and any connection you can think of, if your still in warranty I would recomend a dealer trip. Mine had to be replace when I bought the truck (500 miles on it).

*edit

I see your in Taylor, if you can you might call TheMoparConnection, he works for one of the local dealers there and might be able to help you more.

thanks I am going to try the IOD fuse and see if that does anything. I have found a TSB for this.

Communications (sales code RSP) that were built prior to October 02, 2005
(MDH 1002XX). Overview:
This bulletin involves flash reprogramming the Hands Free Module (HFM) module. Symptom/Condition:
The Hands Free Module (HFM) fails to operate causing the UConnect Hands Free
Communications system to not respond when system activation is attempted by the
customer. Further diagnosis may reveal that when the StarSCAN® scan tool is used to
read Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) the tool indicates that the module is not
responding. Other modules on the bus may display loss of communication with the HFM. If
the Hands Free Communication system is unresponsive then the HFM may require
electronic reset. Diagnosis:
Attempt to reset (power reset) the HFM as follows: 1. With the ignition switch in the “Offâ€￾ position, remove the “Ignition Off Drawâ€￾ (IOD) fuse and wait 10 seconds. 2. Install the IOD fuse. 3. Turn the ignition to the “Onâ€￾ position (engine not running). 4. After the module is reset, press the “Phone Buttonâ€￾ on the rear view mirror to activate
the UConnect Hands Free system and to verify proper system operation (Fig. 1). Did
the UConnect Hands Free system reset and now operates properly?

diagnosis as needed using the existing diagnostic procedures available in
