I'm having a shop install a bunch of stuff including the MSD Wires... They are saying that there is a lot of "slack" in the MSD wire set and that they should be trimmed and have new boots put on. I bought these direct from Justin at JMB.. They also set the little black "holders" don't fit.. Anyone else experience this????

cables are sure long enough but can be routed good... did they take the hole round at the back of the valve covers ? as the stock ones ... also clamp them carefully over there so they don't vibrate with the engine against the fire wall....

Those bigger diameter cables don't fit anymore the stock clamps. I removed from all the inside divider tips so the clamps could hold now easely 2 cables. The rest passing by i used zip tyres , also holding trough the clamps.

Hehe, it took me some hours untill i was satisfied with the routing...

Cool... Thanks for that advice. I just called the shop and told them to go ahead and use the stock lengths (not trimming them and adding new boots). Weren't the MSD wires supposed to include a pair of MSD black plastic wire dividers? They said there wasn't anything in the box. Luckily,,, they had a spare set at their shop that would fit... They charged me $17 each for those buggers. Heck, if I was to do this again, I should have tried out the $200 ones from ebay that were numbered and came with everything.

Look at the black wire dividers in this picture... You can see that there are 3 of them... I wonder why MSD didn't include any in the box???? They're pretty important...

The MSD is a much better wire.................;)

I would do it yourself,,,,,,dont cut the wires,,,,,,,,just take the stock holders and drill them out to the size you need.....the length is fine and really better for the routing

OK,,, just picked up the truck.. The MSD wires (as-is) look just fine in my opinion. I'm not quite sure why the shop freaked out so much...
I just wish MSD would have included the wire seperators in the kit.. Overall, I'm happy and glad I didn't let the shop cut them and add new boots..

Looks great! The clear coat makes everything look much better!

That pic isn't of my engine bay,,, however I'm using it as a baseline for my truck now.. Mine will look better.. :)

the MSD come with numbers to be put on the cables... but you have to do it yourself.... i compared them in length with stock ones and had the # on them....

The MSD wires you buy from Roe, Dave V. puts in the MSD separators. There are no 5 wire separators either. So I do not think it is standard to get the separators talking to Dave.

the aluminium Stinker delivers with brake lines are nice one... with a allen screw... those are 2 wires ... perhaps they exist in more ? :dontknow:

There is a non-forum vendor that has wire holders for our trucks at about 4.50/piece. I do not think I can post his web page however? I bought 13 to try them out.

Your attached pic is REALLY small... Can you try it again with a larger photo?

You would have to ask the vendor.

Standard Ops....always do!

If you want, I can ask for a group buy? I have already ordered mine, but I will ask for the team if you want.

I don't believe there is another forum vendor that does?
