I was in a piece of equipment called a Riser Gantry Crane today fixing some PLC issue's, reseting the end stops and driving it around.
I haven't worked on this or driven it. So After I fixed it my buddy says "Hey you wanna drive it and pick up some Riser, test it out" I said "Man I haven't really driven this thing in anger on a rocking oil rig"
To which he replies "HOSS IF YOU CAN DRIVE A 800 HP TRUCK THEN YOU CAN DRIVE THIS PIECE OF 5HIT!"
So with a new found confidence I fire up the HPU tilt the stick ot the right and BLOW UP THE DAMN TRANSMISSION.................!
No, I'm kidding. It's got bevini gear box's driven by Rexroth hydraulic motors................ But the other parts were true.
I piss excelence! Hell of a Hand!
