Blows that he had the mis-fortune of getting hit by a Ray like that.
Probably did not make too much of a difference...but when he pulled that barb out...might have added insult to injury. That barb might have kept him from bleeding out so quickly.

Steve Irwin....a 21st century version of Marlon Perkins......?... ROF.... No offense brother. Please understand that I mean no offense whatsoever........ But the only connection between Steve Irwin and Marlon Perkins was that their shows both had animals on them..... That's where the comparison ends. AGREED !

I agree....but as a kid in the sixty's with only a couple channels to watch.....in my favorite color...... B/W....when the 70's rolled around and we got a color TV he was great. So was Wide World of Sports....looking back now they were a joke with just one angle and Perkins stashed safely away. American Sportsman was a favorite as well.

I don't suppose you would want to compare Combat & Rat Patrol to Saving Pr. Ryan either .... but at the time 12:00 High, and Have Gun Will Travel.....was tit's to a kid growing up.
Jackie Gleason was no Chris Rock......but he was funny at the time, my view of the world and expectations were much different

Bottom Line.....I will miss Steve, and all those who have kept me smiling for all these years

It been a very sad week, cant stop thinking about him.

He was a great man, an awsome guy and in reality acted just like he did on tv - full of life.

The whole community here is still in mourning, we had a surfers farewell yesterday for him - he was such a good surfer!
