R1 or CBR 1000 RR

Thinking about a bike to park beside my 08 HD Fatbob , thinking about the 08 Yamaha R! or the Honda CBR 1000RR ? which one is better . The R1 in blue and gold wheels (Middle east spec- different than the US) is very tempting :marchmellow:

And dont please suggest a kawasaki zx10 or a zuki GSXR1000 as these are not availabe here

i heard the new hondas are supposed to be top bike. but i think they changed to much to look like a suzi with the lights in the mirror and ugly shorty exhaust. they are so close its personal pref pick the one thats more appealing to you

I would go with the R1. I have had both enjoyed the R1 better. The honda has made many advancements but imo the R1 is awsome.

If your looking for a 08 then get the CBR. If you can wait for the 09 then get the R1. Rumor has it that the R1 will have 180 crank HP

the R1 is a superior bike.... if I didn't want an old man bike.... I woulda bought the R1 instead the FJR... and saved myself about 3K honda makes solid bikes... don't get me wrong.... gotta go with the R1 tho

the New R1 has alot of improvements like a Slipper clutch and more. I'd go with a 07/08 R1

The Honda is easy to drive ,the R1 is more a track bike.
When i bought my first ram 1500 hemi in 2004 i hat to sell the R1(2001).
I'm allowed to have only 3 toys to play with(girlfriends )

sorry, i just sold my Harley ( 90 HP !!! ) ... didn't touch it for the last 2 years... nono, i'm back in cars... can't do everything in life... time to short...

I know:dontknow: i am still thinking , i have 2 young girls and i want to be there for them in the future i may not get one after all . I just took delivery of a 08 fatboy harley last month and that is enough .an R1 is fast like hell and i will probably kill myself on one .

maybe i wont get either after all

Go with the Honda. That new one is a sweet bike and it handles way better than the R1.

you just cant beat honda fit & finish and honda dependability & durability...
