Raced an 08 c6 vette.

Has anyone heard of HEMIFEVER. When i got my truck I tried to find someone to tune it and my buddy told me about him and it is very noticeable. I see everyone on here talks about Torrie???? Is there a difference????

OK my QC has SCT/Torrie (93 octane) tune and drop in K&N - other than that it is bone stock. Ran 13.60's last week. Posted it up last week and everyone seemed to think that was inline with what it should have ran.

Am I off the mark should my 2006 QC run 13.00's?
well that may be on the 06 they are heavier, but also how does it shift? sometimes tightening the bands gives a quicker shift or firmer, and can actually loose some tenths that way, but also its how you take off the line, on oem , dont stall it up, take off from idle, drop the tire pressure, dont hit the water box, change the plugs, make sure your tune is 100% for that you def need a dyno tune or at the very least a air fuel meter, get things dialed in and you can easily drop times very quickly, it takes practice a steady heart and a finely tuned ride, but do it all correctly and you can set seriously good times
go out there from the local walmart and hit the gas when the light turns green and you'll run average times;)

Torrie worked with SCT to develop tunes for the Viper and Ram SRT10....he might even be a machine himself.:dontknow: ;) ....and I have yet to see a truck blow an engine with his tunes.....contact Tony at JTS Venom Perf if you are enterested or want more info...

with just bolt ons and drs high 12s is doable and goooood aaaiiiirrrr!!!!!!

I am with you an that - working on exhaust, ditching cats, and the DR's -- just wanting to make sure my stock times are correct before I start modding things.

Just curious I posted this of my runs before - http://www.vtcoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46200

And everyone seemed to think for stock w//tune I was running pretty decent - now I am wondering if it is.

If I should be able to run stock versus stock with a C6 corvette then my truck should be running 13 flat the way it sits now. The most loaded 2006 C6i.e. slowest corvette I know is running 13 flat STOCK.

I think the launch was pretty good for standard radials 2.0x's pretty consistently. I will be doing the bands shortly. Truck will spin tires hitting second on the street (hooked solid on the track). I will be getting it dyno tuned soon (once I delete cats and install the mopar exhaust).

I know I can get it to 12.90/13.00 I was just referencing the stock versus stock.

Seems most people run mid 13's and up with "stock" QC's and I know my wifes loaded vette has never ran slower than a 13.20 and it is totally stock - she does not want me monkeying with it!

You have to be all stock I have a SCT tune and thats it everything is stock including filter and off the line i smoke them through third gear. Stock you will spin through first and churp second.

sounds like my truck, im going to orlando tomorrow, might just make it a longer drive and visit torrie.:driver:

stock for stock yes, the vette will win, but stock and tuned QC the QC should win,

I guess my initial tune from Torrie is a little weak - I'll keep after the changes and get it on the rollers soon enough...

Ketcham what has your truck ran in the quarter?

Thanks

on a mail tune it will be, he sends them safe, to get the best route get it on a dyno, that way you get the last drop, get with santeen and a few others, or tell ya what contact torrie, and think about comming to the valdosta deal, torrie will be there and you can get a tune from him there, and at the track also, he can def work some magic on things others cannot,

Company christmas party the weekend of the Valdosta event - but I am located in OP Florida so getting on the Dyno (only 6 miles from my house) is pretty easy, but I want to get the exhaust on first.

I wish - been at the same company for 23 years and hope to finish things with them so I'll be showing up for the company party. Besides they make all this playing around possible!

That's lightweight shit where I come from.....

When we got down in the 60's/70's the cops sent helicopters, vicious dogs, coupl'a dozen patrol cars, s.w.a.t. ... In fact, I've captured the exact moment one of those calls to our house on film.....

Here it is.:D
