Raced on the Oval! Badass

Laps for Charity was a blast!! Got to actually run a couple cars around the track and that was crazy! Usually it's single file line around the track but I got a little pissy following a 60's muscle car that could barely muster 80mph without leaning like it was gonna roll over! Lol Sooo....I tried passing him, but couldn't get a clean pass, but did get a boosted VW and a turbo Civic Si. Haha I figured I couldn't get a ticket, maybe shunned away from the track for life or something, but I could take that. Never went faster than 120 again but averaged 95-100 the entire laps. I was the only Viper Truck and that got some attention . There were no trucks at all other than the pace trucks (slooowwww, lol)
I went two rounds, one 3 laps and the last seemed like 6 as the pace car ZL1Camaro just kept on making laps. Likely noting I kept creeping up on him as I eased safely past a SC 4.6 mustang that turned into a race for position. Amazingly enough, once I claimed that position, the cars I passed grew further into my mirrors and didn't try challenging again. Great times and nobody, including track officials complained or slapped my hand with a ruler. "Rules are made to be broken" was put into effect here. :dontknow:

To make all of this even better, we got to watch "Need for Speed" on the "Big Hoss" screen while listening to the movie through our 500watt Infinity stereo which sounded amazing believe it or not!

To top it all off, my GF(photographer) and daughter were able to ride 3 laps with me!! Talk about an awesome experience to share...wow were they amazed and surprised as well. You'll hear their responses once I get the vids posted.

They really enjoyed as I had no idea they'd let ride alongs. I've done this about 8 years and never knew this but it was awesome. I still have the best pics and video yet to come. GoPro and infield vid of me haulin ass while they took pics. I haven't even uploaded and seen then yet. Many,many compliments on the truck by bystanders after I got off the track. They didn't expect to see a truck hauling butt.

If y'all look closely in this picture, you'll see the Bentley Drivers Club of Dallas heading onto the track! Rolls Royce's and Bentleys from early 1900s to brand New with dealer tags! Neat sight to see.
And I still love that Grabber Green or whatever that color is called on the Stangs
