That works to a point. With simple mods, yes. However, the faster you go, the more the driver comes into play. I'd take my chances ANY day with a QC and the extra weight.

Trust me when I say, one of the R/Cs was WAY more modded than I am and I still beat him... barely, but I beat him.

Actually, the RC is a road race truck. You basically have to replace everything but the engine to make it a drag truck. But back to the original question. Holding the brake to get the RPMs up on an automatic usually makes traction worse because you've distorted the springs and used the potential energy that was going to plant the tires from the shock load. That's why they make trans brakes for serious launches.

I agree with the slight increase in RPM at the line....but I use tow haul. It shifts thru the gears nicely, I know it restricts top end....but not at the point when I go thru the traps

I think your backwards on that one...
R/C= not fastest on the board
