went to Zolder today to see my son racing his clio williams... did laps 2min10sec...

he was granted by officials to change car for 10 laps with my truck ...:eek: :eek: i asked him to be carefull as i had to drive home with it :D :D :D

he directly drove about the same laptimes... :eek: :eek: :eek:beeing carefull in cornering... :rock: :rock: :rock: :rock:

his conclusion : it's a powerfull truck with the ROE but far a racecar...:eek: :D :confused:

this is a vid from a clio cup behind my sons Porsche... after the spin :D :D you can see a hole lap Zolder of even a bit more then 2min10... but they were hold up by safety cars once....:rock: :rock:

PS after 10 laps my front tires were all rolled up rubber to the side... those stock pirellis wouldn't last 2 hours i'm afraid... :eek: :(
and driving to Zolder , circuit laps .. and back home was about a good 200 miles...just a full tank made empty...:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :D

i had my Racelogic aboard... measering all data ( GPS and acceleration meter combi ) .....have seen that i can do 0-60 without scaring traffic :D in 6 secs...:rock:

sorry guys...:( ..42 peeps and 2 replys... not that i'm seeking glory but do we drive our damned rigs or just talk and bragg/ fantasy about them ? :confused: :dontknow:

this is realty ... on a common circuit we are not as fast as a clio williams 140 HP, 1600 lbs....weight is indeed a killer .... such heavy trucks are only for the straights....:eek:
would be better with a stiff suspension but that would be one no more "drivable" on the street.... certainly not with false theet ...:D :D :D :D :D

Ok , i can head up from 70 to 125 mph with a Porsche Turbo but... :eek: don't go in his slipstream when he's going in the anchors... i did it once ... white and sweating... :eek: :D :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help:

on ZOLDER circuit max 95dbA allowed and there are some measuring points on the track which recognize your obligated transponder... if to loud you go home ....:( :D :D

If you havent driven an SRT ram on a road course you dont know what your missing!

Not only that, you'll be an instant crowd favorite as their jaws drop in awe of a truck on a road course!

indeed !!!! :p :D :D :D :D

but weight is THE factor for circuit-racing.... a 1/3 weight car of our trucks can do the same with 1/3 HP... and will be much quicker cornering....:( :D

BelgiumBarry, are you satisfied with the racelogic? how much is it and does the numbers match with the horses?
