Hi,

I am curious what people are doing to upgrade their head units to sirius. I have the six disc standard radio for the qc06. I would like to add sirius, but the mopar kit is overpriced. Has anyone done a direct connect (not fm) to the stock head unit?

the stock unit, will cost around $300 total with the install kit, antenna etc. by using this you still have all steering wheel controls. it is kind of expensive seeing as you can get a sirius unit that does both the car and home for under $100 but i like the fact that the steering wheel controls stay operational...just my opinion

PUT THE SIRIUS SYSTEM ON MY WIFES CAR.IT HAS THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS AND THEY STILL WORK.TUNE TO 88.7 AND GOOD TO GO.HAVE IT ON MY O5 QC.FACTORY INSTALLED.LOVE IT.DONT KNOW HOW I LIVED WITHOUT IT:rock:  :burnout:

Hopefully, the 06 6-disc changer is better than the 3 I had in mine before I changed out the stock unit!

I said to hell with the whole thing and bought XM Radio

Has anyone installed an aftermarket sirius tuner or only the mopar unit? Did you use a PAC unit to keep steering wheel controls?

For nav I am just going to get a dash mountable one. I figure the nav + sat is still 1000 less then if I do an eclipse AR7000.
