What wire off the back of the radio is the remote wire with the infinity system? I was putting my amp in and did not want to put the remote to the fuse that is linked to the radio. Also my local car stereo guy told me that the metra plain jane $15 kit will work with my factory infinity radio...is this true? or do I need that $100 kit? also I'm not using the infinity amp or sub if that makes a difference?

I just took a standard voltage meter and grounded it and stuck it into the factory harness when the radio was connected till i found one that was off when the truck was on when the radio was and off when the start button was pushed. I think it was the top left one or the one next to it.

do you remember the color? Also are you using factory radio? If so did you use hi/low (line output) converter to hook up the A/V cable?

I am using the stock radio. I just went and checked (just at the right time it's about to pour here and i keep the truck covered). It is a light gray wire with a blue stripe. If you are looking at the top of the radio with the harness connected it is the second one in from the left, next to the black wire. I took the stock rear speaker wires and ran them into the converter to change them to rca cables for the amp. Make sure you the the correct positive and negative wires connected. You connect the wires in the converter and then then put a volt meter on it to check. If they are wrong (like mine was on the first atempt) the speakers will sound like ass at louder volumes.

does anyone know how that remote wire is routed? i'm still fighting my speaker blues.... my driverside and sub do not work

what exactly are you talking about? I'm a bit confused. It connects to the amp and runs to any power wire you want. All it does is to turn the amp on.

Thanks for checking the color....I used the converter in the past but don't remember if you used both L and R side speakers or only one side..sorry tooloe I'm not sure what you are asking either...maybe where does the remote wire lead to and gets its power from?

I used both and it sounds good. I think if I had two boxes instead of one it would be even better. My amp required a left and right input so i was stuck doing it that way. Good Luck. Post some pictures when you're done
