I used this thread to instruct me how to remove the emblem. It was a biootch!!! it is difficult not to pry!! tight fit. but it does pop off. almost pulled the grill away from the hood!! lol

Alright guys, so I have been working at removing my hood emblem to replace with a JMB viper emblem. I got the ram off but am not sure whether the bottom is supposed to be taken off or not? Should I just place the new emblem on top of that?

You could put it on there like that. However it will not be flush with your grill. IMO, pop that off and get it flush for the best look.

Without break/scratching anything that is, thats why I'm putting it on like that, not taking any chances. The JMB emblems are pretty thin anyway.

I just popped it off. I do like the flush look better now with the emblem sunk in. Only problem is the 3m tape Justin put on there isnt thick enough to stick to the base?:dontknow:

I had to double up the 3M two sided tape on mine to make sure I had good adhesion. I went with a chrome/silver JMB flush emblem.
