I bought this off ebay. Anyone heard of it, Help's with the 3rd gear shift and 1st gear. look's just like the factory one just mount's different ???

49.00 shipped off ebay, This is a factory pre-production shifter for 2004 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10. Installed appearance is exactly like the stock production shifter, the difference is in the way the shifter mounts inside the boot. The production shifter uses a spongie rubber isolator between the shifter and trans, causing a missed shift into 3rd and a hard downshift into 1st. This pre-production design does not use that rubber isolator, it bolts direct. You will get much better shifts with this piece. All mounting hardware is included with this shifter. Thats what the auction said

sounds like you could of done the same thing to your's, just remove the rubber isolator......:dontknow:

this was tried with other's - no real improvement like you get with a replacement x-metal or b&m shifter.....;)

Ohh never thought of that hummmm, I did pick up a new roe racing throttle body for 200.00 thought that was a good deal tho, So that shifter look's the same as stock minus rubber block

Save yourself the money...it just looks like a waste of money. He removed the rubber isolator and re-bolted his shifter to the stub.

There...just saved you 40.00 become a supporting member for 24.00 and check out the DIY section for a bunch of info lol

When we changed out the Hurst for a X-Metal 10 (X-Metal X) we used the rubber/block to wrap the X-Metal X (with tie-strips) to subdue some of the noise.......:congrats: :congrats:

And Welcome to the board!
Quick

I snapped my stock one off at the top bolt, i fixed it easy and cut it shorter and drilled 2 new holes :D
