I don't know if there is any way to find out for sure. We don't require real names when registering. I don't recall any members from Scranton off the top of my head.

Nor do I but I thought there might be a way to check it out or sumpin :dontknow:

I remember a couple of guys from Scranton, but not their first names.

R.I.P. Eric.

Wow! That really blows! I wonder what went wrong.
Its so eery because that describes me.I often tinker on my truck late at night. especially since i have been putting in the supercharger and then taking of the intake manifold.I feel so bad.I hope his widow can cope with seeing that tradegy.RIP

Curious as to what happened??? She said he was "revving" the truck just before it caught fire... Then when she went out to see what was going on, he was in the driver's seat. Sounds very strange to me... :dontknow:

A sad day, for sure. :(

Wow, that sucks :( :( .... I'm with Jake - WTF happened?? :dontknow:

It was also mentioned that when she opened the doors the smoke came out. Was the truck running with the doors closed? Interesting how a fire could start...especially with him in the drivers seat. Seems what ever happened quickly got worse and he was either asleep or couldnt/didnt react in time. Very odd.

I thought it sounded strange too, but I didn't want to be insensitive. Whatever the case, sounds horrible.

Keep in mind that this is just a newspaper account. You can probably safely assume that at least 50% of it is inaccurate, and that is being charitable. It is a real shame no matter what exactly happened. A tough time of year to lose people that's for sure, not that any time is a good time.

I would think he must have let his car running, inhaled too much carbon monoxide, got unconscious and let his foot slip on the throttle. Terrible loss for the family, but you cant stress enough the dangers of leaving your car running in an enclosed space. RIP man.

What a horrible way to go. And the wife having to see the whole thing and not be able to do anything about it. RIP brother.

Jeff

Maybe some type of external heater was running and ignited some fumes from the truck which was enclosed in the garage? Horrible tragedy.
