Well I was driving home last night around 11:00 pm and a new GTO pulled up next to me - I knew he wanted some fun - So we were running around 60 so i dropped back to 50 and put it in third - and we took off - I had 1/2 car length on him in 3rd - I shifted to fourth gear and mmmm maybe to slow or to early - the GTO finally shifted into his next gear and slowly rolled by me - welp I need to get my act together - mods mods mods - I can't bang the Goat - the GTO is a good car - I need to get my shift light in this cab!!! But it was fun!!!

was it a 04 or 05 goat ?

04 has 350 hp 05 with the double scooped hood has 400 hp

Looks like your checkbook will be taking a beating here!! Good luck on the mods. Those GTO's can scoot man, especially the 400 hp versions, but you still should've been able to beat him. Glad you had fun!

I have seen them at the track well into the 12's. They can be quick. Doesn't sound like he smoked you at least.

There are plenty of mods to take you past that GTO!

Yep I need to do it!!

It was the 400 and I should have shifted 3rd later in the RPM cycle - I have found the rev limiter earlier in the day after a great burnout and need to set my new shift light for it. He will meet me again for sure and I will take some fun out of it for him.
I have the NOS to put in this weekend also!
He did not blow by me - just slowly..
My turn to pull away slowly make him feel good but keep the best for $$$$!!

A friend of mine has the LS1 GTO and all he's done to it is, full exhaust, drag radials, cam, 150 shot and he's almost broke into the 10's. I can't imagine the damage an LS2 with exhaust, stickies, and a good shot would do:rock:
