My best was a 14.1 but I know I can get in the 13s. I just can launch to save my life. My 60 times are in the 2.2 area. I'm getting some serious spin.

Better 60's will help you out. One of hte problems I had was if I didn't go WOT soon enough I would get going and the truck would shift. Then once I would get WOT the truck would down shift. I found I got much better 60's by 2 footing the gas/brake up to the line. Then I would rev up to 1500-2000 RPM's. 3rd yellow I would start to put the gas to the floor all nice and smooth while I came off the brake. Watch me launch in this video. http://videos.streetfire.net/player.aspx?fileid=EEFFB4A1-853E-4730-9904-BE4740A752EA

Practice makes perfect. Go to test and tune night at the track and launch at different RPM's and see what works the best.

there is a lot of opinions on this but the short answer is yes...

With street tires you want to drop to 22psi....drive around the water box...do a little scrub burn out....and goooooooooooooooo

Its ok to give them a little spin to clean off any rocks, pebbles etc....but do not go through the water box and give out a John Force spin...........thats just wasting your cash! Street tires are way too hard to heat up.

Lower your tire pressure to like 22 or so and it might help you get a better sixty.

I have heard it both ways. I could not get into the 12's. Then a bunch of L guys told me I was doing my burnout wrong. One of them spotted me in the water box and had me do a burnout. Bam I was in the 12's. But warming them up is different then doing a long burnout. But I have no real proof either way. Try warming them a little and try not warming them. See how your 60's run.
