I have the Raptor shift light installed and working. I have it set at 5500 RPM's right now which makes it flash at about 5800 on the tach. Which one is right? I first had it set at 5800 and it didn't flash at 6000 so I shut it down. I had to set it at 5500 to go off where I wanted it to. Just wondering if anyone else had this same problem.

MInes the same way. Just keep backing it down till it comes on where you want it to. Don't worry so much about where the arrows are pointing as long as it's flashing at the right rpms.;)

thats would be means if i set it at 5500 then light would come on at around 5800?

thats strange but i will see what happened for myself when i get one

I actually thought it was programed that way....light comes on at 5400 by the time I shift truck rpms are at 5500........oh well, its not that big of a deal.

Dram, get one of these, they are cheap, under $100, simple install and something all RC's should have.

yeah i just ordered one last night and i was amazing that they are only for $85 plus $7 shipping so it should be on way now  i just want to learn more about them before i install them

One thing is the way people shift, if its set at 5500 and you are slow to react it may seem its actually at 5800rpms.'

whereas Maui our super shifter:D shifts so quick that its on the money.

but really if you have any questions or concerns, Call rick at raptor, he will definitly try to cure or take care of the problem.

One this is to be sure of a real good connection on the coil wire:D

that is why x-metal gen iv is perfect to shift quick enough to match the time when raptor light come on!
