You might wanna check and see if there is a hole in the muffler a few people have had this problem. Mine has started to rattle and I figured out that the weld around one of the hangers started cracking and it seems like that hanger is connected to the baffles inside the muffler because if I push and pull on it I can hear the rattle inside the muffler I talked to the retailer that sold it to me and he is willing to cover it under the lifetime warranty for the exhaust but I need to send the old one back before he will replace it or pay for half the price of the new one and after I change it out and ship the old one back he will refund my money minus shipping costs.
Or it could be just rubbing against something like the spare tire or something.
Did you have midpipes installed recently? When I had my catless mids installed the guy fubar'd and got a huge chunk of metal stuck inside the muffler......after 3 trips to his shop I finally had him cut the entire f#cker off and start over. Metal piece was a giant chunk of pipe from when he cut off the original welds..............dumb mistake.
Crawl under there and tap the muffler listening for the rattle. Maybe its the spare tire or placement of the pipes.
well it does it more when the truck has just been started up and I quickly got under it and saw water coming out where one of the compression fittings was so I assume I didn't tighten it enough. I'll try that out tomorrow. The system was brand new when I got it and I've probably had it for two weeks...
