RB1 in a '06

Will the factory RB1 Navigation Head Unit from a '04-'05 work in a '06? I have UConnect and steering wheel controls, would I lose those by installing those if it fits?

i took my RB4 nav out of my truck and put it in my wife's 02 jeep grand cherokee limited and it works fine... getting the nav antenna fished through the dash wasn't fun, though

Dan is right; The '06 uses a CanBan system and needs the REC Nav unit. It’s not hard to change out and this guy has a pretty good deal because he throws in the Nav antenna also.

You might want to look in his web site, sometimes it works out cheaper than buying through Ebay.

Oh, and be prepared to have to hunt for the proper Nav Bezel, It took me 10 months to find mine.

or you can have a wood grain nav bezel painted to match... they're pretty inexpensive...

The '06 has the Carbon Fiber look on the bottom half and I tried a couple of different types and none look as good as the factory bezel. The 1st pick is the closest that I got with a stock unit. The 2nd pic is the proper bezel.
