Last week, I installed a Sirius receiver 82206488AA with kit 82208116. The RB4 can see the Sirius receiver, but I get no audio from the test broadcast on channel 184. If I fiddle with the volume while in Sirius mode, I get no response from the volume indicator, and the other inputs (cd, radio) are set to "mute" when I switch to them from SAT1 or 2. I checked the antenna cable connections on both ends. I also checked the cable connecting the Sirius receiver and the RB4. Both cables are seated firmly. I do occasionally get the "NO SIGNAL" warning, but not always, but without fail, I always get the "CALL 888-something".

I drove it around all weekend so it should have had plenty of time to get a good signal.

Do I have a bad Sirius receiver, cable, or antenna? Is there a firmware update for the RB4 to allow it to work properly with the Sirius receiver? What's the most suspect piece of hardware?

I relented and took it back to the dealer. For $101.66 they fixed it (1 hour labot + tax.) I have no idea exactly what the tech did (he wasn't in today.) All I have is the service invoice that says "Removed unit /reinstalled ---activated unit all works OK." What does "Activated" mean? I assume something was done to either the head unit or the Sirius reveiver. I can't reasonably think that it would be something with registering the radio with Sirius corp. Without registering the radio, I should still get the test broadcast. If I get an answer from the service guy on Monday, I'll post an update.
