OK, I have heard the questions between the RB1 & RB4. The pros & cons...:alberteinstein:

My question is this:dontknow:
Can the RB4 be activated for satellite radio? Does it work well? and can I keep my UConnect with it.

Any pictures of the radio with the satellite on would be appreciated.

You can have both uconnect and sat radio with the RB4, but you have to purchase an additional kit from the factory to hook up both components and they are not cheap. Plus you need an additional harness that's about $150.00.

Been down that road with mine, all together counting the sat radio component, Y switch connector component and wire harness I think it was around $400.00 - $500.00.

I'll look around and see if I still have all the paperwork and see if I can come up with the part numbers.

Sirius Radio Receiver P/N 82206466-AB $179.00
Instl Kit P/N82208116 $150.00

Can't find the info for the Y Splitter kit and the additional harness but I know they were also around $150.00. Seems Mopar Connection could probably some up with those two part numbers.

Thanks ccfeyh,
That's what I was trying to find out. Don't really wan't to change out the radio, but it's looking like the direction.

Dragon... any input?

If I was going to get a new sound system for my truck, I would not be putting in any kind of MOPAR radio, I'd put the one in we just installed in my wife's PT Cruiser. A Kenwood DNX8120. has built in bluetooth, Garmin Nav System, MP3, IPod, it does everything except give head. Plus with the two JL Amps and complete set of JL speakers, awesome sound system.

The bluetooth works better than uconnect ever thought of working.

That's the only thing you lose if you go with another brand, but her PT didn't have them to start, so no loss. I have heard they make a kit that will let you install an aftermarket radio and still use the steering wheel controls, but never seen one.

If I remember right, that's a double-din unit. Not sure of how that will work in the Ram.:dontknow:
