rb4 to rb1 swap

switching from a rb4 to an rb1. the gps antenna plugs are different. i really don't want to fish it out of the dash and if possible adapt to use the existing one. i found listing for adapters but unsure of what end to what end is required - does anyone know the size or id of the gps antennas for both units.

Should be able to measure it and take pics and go to your local Best Buy or maybe even WalMart and get your adapter today boss

just get a new one and leave the old line fished in... you can feed a new wire through into the front small dash finisher piece...

I have done this to both trucks I had .You don't need any adaptor .


They use the same gps antenna plug .If fact you don't need anything but head unit .All plugs are the same for rb1 and rb4.

Thought you were talking about the GPS plug .When I got my rb1 it came with the radio antenna adaptor .

the gps antenna plug is different on the rb1 and rb4. the rb4 is blue and the inside is round. the rb1 antenna is smaller, gray and the inside is square

rb1 and rb4 GPS antennas are different - having had both, i know this.

just get an antenna from ebay... i don't like adapters... what if something comes loose, or it's cheap and doesn't connect well?
