Anyone done this on here? I know most srt10 fanatics would start throwing up all over themselves for ruining the integrity of a rare vehicle, etc, but I'm just trying to decide if rc or qc is right for me, and I'm thinking given my needs I am better suited for an automatic trans.

So what do you think about getting an rc and changing it to automatic trans?

about 12k bucks to do it right

I wanted to make a custom center console, and have the automatic be some sort of a push-buttom shifter maybe. I didn't really start designing it much yet since I hadn't convinced myself this is the route I wanted to go.

If you want an auto it would be cheaper just to buy a QC;)

I do to and I like the "feel" of it better. But it's not worth all the $$$$$ (to me anyway)

My main driver will still be a QX56 infiniti, so I don't really care for a quad cab (I think) but I do care for automatic over manual (never drove manual believe it or not, heh). But the guy a few above says 12k for his change, wowee. I was thinking more like 6-7k when I added up assumed costs. Way off.

So is it gonna be a weekend truck? If so I would get the manual. Not that hard to learn how to drive it. But if you don't feel comfortable driving a manual or just don't want to I would get the QC or a different car. Just my 0.02.

Yeah, just a truck for fun. I would probably end up driving it a lot more than I think, because I'll be so excited about it. But with intent on it being the 2nd vehicle for "toying" purposes.

505 (Dom) has a 1300HP+ monster...you will not need to spend $12K to do an auto...but the auto in the QC cant barely handle a stock engine.....

while it sounds horrible to say just go buy a Lightning instead here is a quick comparison.
Stock SRT10 RC, to take out the manual and put in an auto is going to be $8-9k soup to nuts...plus the cost of a truck say $20k...if you want any mods your going to be more money our of pocket.

what could you do with a stock L for $15k and have another $13k to put into it. you would be in the low 10s easily
