RC Manual to Automatic Change?

while it sounds horrible to say just go buy a Lightning instead here is a quick comparison.
Stock SRT10 RC, to take out the manual and put in an auto is going to be $8-9k soup to nuts...plus the cost of a truck say $20k...if you want any mods your going to be more money our of pocket.

what could you do with a stock L for $15k and have another $13k to put into it. you would be in the low 10s easily

Is there any of you guys in south FL who could help me out through this process? Maybe even coming to look at a couple of the srt 10's I've been seeing for sale? Would be awesome to have someone on my side who knows what they're talking about.

Personally, I'd rather have a 12sec SRT10 over a 10sec Lightning. Speed isn't everything.

it is when your losing:D

oh i would rather have the SRT10 to, but to go thru all that trouble:dontknow:

I understand the disappointment in the response, but if was ever to consider a 2 door truck I would also go for an L unless I bought a SRT-10 that is already built n blown. L's are super cheap to get into the mid 11's. Just my personal opinion :dontknow:

Ya the only way I'd do the auto conversion is if I was building it purely for racing... and that's something I would never do in any TRUCK:)

is there any reason you couldn't just learn to drive the 6speed?

thats like learning how to have fun:D

Changing to an auto is same as any mod....got the money and want it then do it........fact is the auto may make the truck quicker....at least more consistant....I would like an auto myself.......
