RC pass Airbag OFF light

If you are in your trucks today, please let me know if this light stays on with no passenger after say 5 seconds.

I put in an aftermarket stereo in yesterday and it will not get power after I start the engine. The passenger airbag light now goes off after initial start. I thought that it used to stay on.

Just trying to figure out if the bus is turning stuff off now.

Put the factory radio back in. Light still turms off after a start. Still think that it used to stay on with no passenger. Anybody able to confirm?

The radio is now going to a dead sleep after starting the truck (it works in accessory or run, but loses power/sleeps when the red button is pushed). The only way out is to remove the dash and unplug the radio. Plug it back in and it works 10 times in a row while sitting on the seat. Put the dash back together and of course it works once, maybe twice. Crutchfield, who is trying to help, is sending a replacement harness controller (Axxess), but they are not exactly sure what is going on.

I am concerned that the lack of "Passenger Airbag Off" light has some sort of implications on the CAN Bus that will require a trip to my local dealer to read/reset. There are no codes on the system per the OBDII. Did any of you Sunday drivers note the status of the airbag off light?
