I'm presuming that he is holding the plane in that one position for so long because it's difficult to do....... (?)

Hovering a plane is difficult and it takes twice the motor to hold it vertical.
Nothing like having a litte reserve. hehe

I WISH, Bill is ranked in the top 5 in the world in freestyle competition :rock:
He was the guy that flew the RC aircraft in the movie Aviatar and he trains army personal to fly drones for a living.
The world competition is held in tucson az every year.

I'll be sure to send a link to my neighbor....who just got re-called by United to pilot a new A320! He loves this stuff, but says he could never do it. "I could fly it away from me forever. It's the coming back, or 'reverse' flying, that I can't do." LOL
