i didnt make it.... the transmission was giving me hell and not enough time to test the new one before making a 800+ mile trip not knowing if it would lwork or not. so i made the call not to go. wish i would have though as it was a simple fluid change and everything started to come together...... seems as though not all fluids are the same. i put in ford motorcraft atf it is a full synthetic and not what it calls for as it is mercon 5 well ford decided to pull the plug on making mercon 3 which is what my truck calls for that is non synthetic. long story short drained the fluid and put in some oreilys cheap fluid and it works perfect.... seems as though the clutches need some grab to work properly.
