I need the cool facts about our rear axles. I want to sell my stocker, but I really do not know much about it. I know it has the 4.56 gears, but what else? What is the brake size? What kind of diff does it have?

What is a reasonable price?

besides it sucks.:D 248RBI I believe the only differance is the gear I maybe wrong though. they call it a dana60 super HD/ super my ass. I know this is for an 04 am not to sure but I think there the same.

$400-600 ( shipping is a killer as they weigh about 500lbs on a pallet

14" disc rotors ( 04 3500 dodge calipers)
05 14" disc rotors Brembo calipers ( spelling)
Both with hat type emergency brake drums and shoes.( intigrated in rotor)
The ring gear is 9.75 ".
Trac-lock limited slip differential 04 4:10, 05 4:56
and I do believe the axle tubes are larger in diameter than a standard Dana 60 ( could be wrong)

Are you sure about the Brembo caliper for 05? I actually met one of the engineers who personally designed/developed our brakes, at least for 05, and he worked for TRW. My impression from him this is a wholly TRW system.
 
Yes, the axle tubes are larger diameter than a car Dana 60.

Thanks Justin:D correction, the fronts on the 05's are 4 piston and the rears 2 piston. ( should'nt post while half asleep :eek: )

and they still suck...at least on a road course...IMO

Actually I found the 4 piston front brakes less resposive and more akin to fading than the 04 front calipers at the SRT drive experience Dodge, Brembo whatever the 4 piston calipers suck.
 
You'll typically see axles measured as WMS-WMS - wheel mounting surface. Takes away variances between drum and disk. I don't know for our trucks though.

Have to agree with you there! They make too much damn noise, only if they took some of that noise and turned it back into braking power!
