Hey need some advice on how tobchange my rear differential fluid,im gona do it tomm myself for the first time ...got an idea on how to do it, but if anyone can give me the 1,2,3 i would appricate it thanks - Nick

Obviously not expert advise. But i bet in the owners manual there is the correct amount and type to put in. Other than that pull the drain plug on the back cover, let it drain. may be easiest to jack the front end up to have a bit of a slant towards the back to get as much oil out as you can. Usually when you fill a rear end, you fill it up to the hole when the truck is sitting level. I'd check the owner's manual, it'll have the capacity, but the plugs are on the back cover, takes a big allen wrench if i remember correctly. There aren't any special tricks to changing rear end fluid.

SlvrSnake said:If I remember right, Mobil1 75-90W synthetic oil, tube of additive for limited slip dif, thread sealant for drain and filler plugs. If you are going to take off the cover then you will need a putty knife and a tube of black RTV.
When refilling get truck level and fill to right up to the bottom of the filler hole and that's it your done.
