O.k. i've been scouring the site and cant seem to find out if there is a kit or something that will lower only the rear end of my truck. I dont want a radical lowering just want to level it out. Any suggestions? Im trying not to break the bank:D

Look at my truck in my signature! Then call Stinker and order a pair of lowering shackles. Best $ you'll spend on it!

Theres a few that have put the drop shackles in (myself included-from Stinker and very easy to install) and then take out the bottom overload spring and it seems to level them out nicely!

Oh yeah! I haven't seen any pics of yours after you did that. You got any?

How hard is it to remove the overload spring? I put the shackle in but I want more level look in the back, the shackle is a very easy install (20-25 min) so how hard would it be compared to that?

Not hard at all. Remove the U-bolts on one side, there is a bolt that holds the leafs together, remove that and take out the bottom leaf.

stinkers 2.75 lowering blocks! rear only i love it

Are the lower blocks different then the shackles? I'd like to level the big rig out for looks. Also I have an extremely low car port that is exactly one inch to low to fit my truck in. Goes in just to roof antenna. Will either way lower the rear end give me about an inch at the rear of the roof line?

You can use lowering blocks on the RC. The axle is already over the springs. You can use shackles on a QC but not the RC and blocks on the RC but not the QC. There is a more radical lowering kit for the QC which flips the axle from below to above spring for going super low. As everyone has already said, check with Stinker. He's got the goods.

thanks Big dave, been a long day, but as he said on the RC you use blocks, or have the springs rearched.

on the QC's use shackles for about an 1.5 inch drop or a flip kit for up to a 5 inch drop

Gentlemen, thanks for the info. Just ordered some shackles from Stinker.

Thanks....
