When i take off from a dead stop and crank the wheel all the way to the left or right and take off faster than anything other than rolling away , the rear shudders , and makes a disturbing noise . It is a little hard to explain in writing but it feels like tire hop but thats not it , i am thinking something in the u joint , or the driveshaft may be making it from loose leaf springs moving when under torque ? It does not happen when i go straight only when i am turning all the way and hitting the throttle ... has anyone experienced this problem ?

05 qc , i did just have the thirty thousand mile service performed ...

o make sure that they added the limited slip addidive. that will do it and it will do damage if it is not put in there.

how can i make sure they added the limited slip additive ? I just called and they said the guy would have ... i am going to give the tech a ride later today to replicate the symptom for him ...

is the limited slip additive on your bill from the shop? how long ago was the diff service done?

there is nothing that says anything about limited slip additive on the bill , it says atf fluid ... the service was done about two weeks ago ...

well ATF is not the fluid that should be in your truck. are you at a point and do you know the diffrence in fluid? if you can open the drain plug and let a little seep out to tell if it is ATF or diff fluid. ATF in most cases is pink, diff fluid is more an oil color and smells very stong.

i would stop driving untell you figure this out. your truck from the factory will have 80w90 about 3 to 3 1/2 gear oil and 1 limited slip (4318060ab) additive.

my 05 qc at 30 was doing the exact same thing service the diff and mine was all smoooth again

vtcoa has some smart members . I took it in today and gave the tech a ride , he said immediatly that it is a lack of differential fluid . Dragon and stinker , you know your crap , it was the clutches in the differential ... thanks again
