I will be installing a new clutch & Flywheel.

Is this a good time to replace a leaky rear main seal? The leak is not bad, does not leak on to the floor, just enough to get on the tranny!

Should I leave it be?

It would be a good time I would think;) Not sure on what kind of time it would take though:dontknow: If it's not even dripping on the ground I probaly would just leave it alone for awhile and keep an eye on it;)

go ahead and change it at the same time, better safe then sorry.

That is the best time to do it.......but......I had my dealer change mine........and the dam thing still leaks. Leaving it alone might not be a bad thing. You should ask the Roe Racing guys for their expert opinion.

Are you pulling your engine?

Good choice. I still cant imagine what your truck feels like with the SC and the 4.88's. Mine just flys without the SC'r. Your third gear pull must be massive!

patrick

It is two handfulls!! :D :p

Your 4:88's may make the difference...but I went back to the stock flywheel after having the Fidanza for a year...it drives much better in traffic with the heavier flywheel.

I have been told by my yettie many times over that HEAVY flywheels are the only way to go .................... hmmmmmm, imagine that :D

Marc If you are just getting some staining I would leave it alone. I have been told that you can end up making it alot worse when you put the new seal in there. I little staining (with no drip) is actually pretty common.:nurse:

That's interesting, I had my clutch/flywheel recently replaced under warranty and a month or two later my seal is leaking to garage floor and I figured it was because they prob. didn't change it as it should have been, which is way that stuff usually works, but maybe it's leaking because they actually did change it?
