I need a rear suspension education....

Nothing dramatic but the L boys are picking up real time by changing out the rear shocks to fully adjustables...

What is the best way to go here given I use this truck as my driver..?

Also the tank is slippery enough as it is (31" tall drags and radials on the front) so loosening the front sway bar is OUT.....

You are on the right track. You need double adjustable front and rear shocks. QA1 make a lot of variations. Also a different rate front spring, longer length with a softer rate to get the front end up on the hit and let it come down slower. More weight transfer into 2nd gear. Call me and we can talk about it.

nowhat I think placing a fully adjustable rear shock would be just right to start helping out your setup. QA1's are what most of the Lightning guys are running. you could even install them up front and then remove the sway bar. Basically get the truck transfer the weight to the rear and keep it there. let me know were I can help. We have one of our Lighting race trucks set up like this. His truck also weighs in at a hefty 5200lbs. Actually it is Mike Anderson(chillfactor) from the other site.

It may seem as though I have a lot of tech knowledge all of a sudden. Some of you know that I am involved with PSI Motorsports in Houston, Texas. I am skilled mainly with the Lightings but we are starting to expand into the SRT's. Slow91 can vouch as well as other Lighting owners. I am here to help and let you know what we can and cannot do.

If you have driven somthing with poly's and reg bushings as I am sure these guys have,it makes a big difference, or I think it does, It really settles the rear and stiffens it up , hell I cant explain it, but just does, anybody else agree or disagree, cause I was thinking of this too?

Also dont know about the antiroll bar situation , but it mounts to the rear and keeps pressure equal on both sides under hard acceleration.

Maybe Jack has heard of these on older rides, you can find it on jegs.com under ladder bars and four linkes, it may keep the long wheelbase from twisting and keep the pressure equal better ,,,uh ,,,I think,,,LOLOLOLOLOL

freakin tired bro! going outside, but will back tommorrow with pics and boogers!LOLOLOLOL:D

In my book ,you are the leader bro!!! Damn good time!!!

an anti roll bar is definately a plus. Though I do not know of one that would fit without major modifications. I know on the mustangs we have to remove the exhaust and dump it.

Yeah I just remember the anti roll bar from days back, and ssaw it in jegs and it brought back memories, but dont know how it would fit or work with out some jiggin in the rear area, but I think with the long wheel base it should really help. later, ya'll are taking upp my love making with my truck I havent seen in 9 months!!LOLOLOLOLLLOOOOLll

Kind of looking at addressing the front height too...with the rims/rubber I have on the back... I am "pushing" a bit down the straight track....
Getting a lot of high beam flashes at me when driving at night...
Mines not too dramatic...but it's enough to change the aerodymamics considerably when your speed gets up there.

you should prolly set the rear shocks to full stiff and get drag springs for the front with drag shocks. :marchmellow:
