Rearview-UConnect

Since my Uconnect is out I was thinking about going to a aftermarket head unit instead of dropping a large amount of dough on a Uconnect Module. Only problem I'm seeing is it will drive me nuts having a rear view mirror with Uconnect buttons that won't work. Did the non-equipped Uconnect 10's come with just a illuminated rear view with no Uconnect buttons?
