Rebuild VW front beam

Has anyone delt with building (or rebuilding) a front beam to a VW Bug?
I have a VW sandrail that I have been rebuilding bit by bit. Got a new beam and am getting ready to put it together. Can't find anything about the spacers that came with it. :dontknow:
