Recent purchase help

Yes I got the truck sorry for the delayed response. I've been checking everything thing out and working on the small things.
Very good! So glad to hear that! Congrats to you

Did you get the 06 QC you were looking at originally?

I got new rear tires, replaced spark plugs, oil change, removed the crappy old tint, and replaced the broken tailgate handle. I've got to figure out why the radio and ac control aren't working. As for mods I don't really know the history. It sounds like it may have had some motor work done but I'm not 100% and it's definitely had the transmission rebuilt. I know none of the history on the truck.

How did the old plug look ? Hahaha the tailgate handle ,, another cheap mopar piece of plastic is my guess hahaha ..
I need to replace the tint on my front window , it’s lasted about 20 years and cost 100$ for all at the time .. got my money worth I will say . I already removed the tint on the front windows and will ne doing it myself .. I’ve done it before on all windows on a conversation Van years ago and that was some work .. so doing the front windows on the 10 should be a piece of cake .. all in the prep ..

The radio controls ? On the head unit or the steering wheel ?
Start with the fuses if electrical ! Check if they both appear to be on the same circuit and may have relays also in the fuse box .

How do you remove the tint? Is it a nightmare?

I used windex and a razor scraper.. I still have a few small hard to get little pieces on the edges though ..

@castaway i forgot to ask what tires you went with? That's a hot topic at times lol

Well now that Elbow grease part adds a little twist!! Not so easy hahahaha
It doesn’t just peel off hahaha .. little piece by piece .. I’m sure there is an easier way that the installer people use .. time to I Spy and steal their secrets

The old plugs were extremely clean but the iridium was short I guess a lot of miles. As for the radio, it doesn't cut on but it is getting power and the AC and heated seat controls only work when you cut the ignition off but before you open the door.

Just went cheap right now to replace the overused rear tires and got ironman imove gen2

Nothing wrong with cheap , in price ,, what size and other ratings do they have ? Speed rating, wear rating, traction etc ! We are all looking for a decent and cheaper cost for tires with equivalent ratings of the expensive tires .. tires tend not to last long on the 10’s .. we love a heavy foot and G-force curves hahaha !

The old plugs seem acceptable ,, can you post pics of the old plugs .. being worn down probably means they have a lot of miles on them . What make plugs were they . I use the factory spec champions still bit have been thinking of changing to something else .

The radio may still be a fuse or relay as the A/C .. best to get the wiring schematics and see what all is involved and what other circuits could be involved . Still step 1 is to go through the fuses and relays and verify they are ok . The fuse box top shows which and where fuses and relays go and operate circuits . A test light , multimeter should be used to test . You can also test a questionable fuse or relay of the same ratings from a know good circuit or just buy spares . Switch and see. From that point it will get more involved and become a pain in the ask these new fangled autos with all the electronics, sensors and crap hahaha !
