I have an employee that is a really "nice" guy. He does field repair work and some in-house assembly of millwork products. Customers are constantly paying him compliments. A couple weeks ago his son had to have a "routine" follow-up surgery and had complications immediately after and passed away. Pretty devastating and totally unexpected. He was 23 and a real car fanatic. He had a SRT 4 Neon and although he had some physical limitations he did not let these slow him down. He was really into his car and was known to "street race" from time to time. His dad would often talk with me about some of the things his son was doing with his car and knew that I was a DODGE guy. I had met his son a few times and actually did not know it was him until he actually passed. His dad never mentioned his disability so It never "clicked" that it was the same kid. As for the gift. He walks in my office this morning and hands this to me and says "This was in with some of my son's stuff and I figure you may be able to use it for your truck." I told him I would gladly give him something for it but he would have none of it. I was really moved and told him I was grateful for the "gift" and would see if I could put it to use. My question for you guys is "Now what?" He said he is pretty sure his son had it programed for his Neon so what are my options? I honestly have done little research but would like to get up to speed with your help.
