I have noticed something that I have never seen before or even mentioned here on the site. My 10 is red, yah I know it ain’t black or gray or yeller but if I was gonna get a “hot rod†I wanted a stand out color. Sides that is the color that happened to be on the truck with low miles and priced right. My first choice was a yellow fever one but couldn’t get the dealer to even show me the thing. He still has it after 7 months but is hung up on keeping it I guess.
What I noticed is many times, really most times, when I come up behind someone on the highway, them driving slowly and me kinda fast, they pull over to the right lane or shoulder to let me pass. Now that seldom happened in my black Chevy truck but 9 out of 10 times it happens in my red truck. Here in Texas most of the fire trucks and many EMT vehicles are red. Got to thinking, maybe the folks think at the speed I am driving and the color of the truck that I am any emergency vehicle. I can’t see any other reason for so many to pull over to let me pass. :dontknow: Just a crazy thought but if this is the reason then don’t believe I will ever own a truck other than red.
