Red pads vs. the greens? anti-post whore thread

I have the Performance Friction on the red truck and they are quiet, stop well, and are virtually dustless.

I have a set of EBC's that I put on and replaced after 1500 miles. Pay for shipping and they are yours.

I also have a new set of EBC pads that I will sell cheap, Front pads for an 04 for 50.00 delivered.

Everyone..Everyone...... The last time a spoke with EBC. They don't make the reds for our truck. So unless something has recently changed you might want check it out.

he has an '05, your '04 pads won't fit...........

I put the EBC greens on the front and have had zero issues...no noise, no dust, no problems stopping.

i have nothing but praise for the centric posi quiets i bought from dave z......    frankly, this is the first complaint i've heard about them ?? the last guy who still had noise didn't PROPERLY bed his brake pads......

i would give this a try before you spend alot more money on those dusty ebc's... performance friction could only be an option if you had an '04 - which you do not.......

X2.....had them on the SRT8 also....no problems..and almost no dust..:)

Same here. I have them on the front and I have no noise and no dust.

how did you guys bed them? on the posi quiets ive tried the 60mph to a near stop and repeated about 4-5 times and i have done this 3 times now and they still squeel like "DELIVERANCE"- thats the reason iam making the switch- what are some good secrets?????????

try and get a hold of "quiet brake" by MOC products. I have it on the OEM pads with no noise.

Did the 60 to 10 8 times,,,nary a squeek in over 1000 miles....had no problem with the former SRT8 either.....may be the condition of your rotors..:dontknow:

You also have to lightly sand the rotors (non-directionally) and then wash off the rotors before you install new pads. The old pads leave a "film" of contaminants on the rotor surface and it will cause the new pads to squeek if you don't clean them off. Did you do that??:dontknow:

yes it did clean the rotors- and i reinspected them again last night- i think i have a rotor issue- not a pad issue as such so i believe that once my new rotors get here i think my problem will go away- iam still going to go with the green's, poor timimg most likely when i put the posi quiet pads on- because even the stockers squeeled thats why they got replaced in the first place.
Hey MOPARRACING- i will figure it out- if you are a brake expert i will run my truck down to you- are you?

done lotsa brakes in my years, but expert -- no........
you seem to be the only one with this issue after replacing the noisy stockers with the posi-quiets........ that bedding link i posted earlier fixed brake issues on multiple rigs for me........ i have a jeep GC that had the high speed stop brake shudder that that brake bedding also cured......
my advise to you would be to email dave z..... he is a brake expert & very willing to help !!!! that guy is top notch in my book !!!!
