I have been a working fool lately, and have just been driving :driver: snot out of my SRT without my usual regular maintenance checks.

I had noticed an odd feeling during low speed turning on loose surfaces, so I jacked up the front end. The wheel bearings were not loose, but didn't turn as smooth as they should.

Ordered up some Timken replacements (looks like the stockers are also Timken) from rockauto and put them on. Boy, I should have done it sooner!:party:

My truck is a daily driver with ~68k mi. I do like to use the truck in turns, but I wouldn't say I'm abusive since it's my daily ride. :)

See attached pic for evidence of seal failure and lubricant leaking from the unit bearing.

Easy job: jack up, unbolt wheel, unbolt caliper, take rotor off, unclip wheel sensor, remove 3 bolts on the back. Reverse for assembly.

did ya get just the bearins or the hub assy????

That's the assembly with sensor. Only thing that might be less would be without the sensor perhaps...

thanks.

& learned something else bout our trucks. thought the front bearins were ball.

they are tapers, which makes me feel better:congrats::rock::burnout:
