The system that I am using can be used on auto or manual, and it ties into the computer system of the car (or tranny switch if older) to tell the system not to start, etc..

I don't understand that, how? There is only two eletrical things in the tranny, a reverse lockout and a back up lamp sensor. The PCM has no idea if your even in a gear.

...I don't mean to be a pain in the ass, but I really want a remote start. I just have a problem of if I leave it in gear and I start it whats going to happen? I can hook a remote start up, wire around the clutch switch and it will work... but thats not the right way to do it.

There is actually a neutral safety switch.... I am going by what the installer told me who did mine...

Yea, you have a QC thats true. I thought you had found a way to do it in a RC. In a Rc the only safety is on the clutch pedal...

I remember now him mentioning something about the clutch and E-brake being a part of the system... but I know for sure that the CompuStar does support manual trannies, and has features built in to prevent it from starting... if its in gear, etc..

I know I'm being a PITA, but do you have a link. I tried to search google but had no luck.
