Remote Start?

hey guys, does anyone have a remote start system on their truck? im interested in one to warm the truck up with in the winter time. but i wanted to get some info from u guys first before i go shopping for one.

It is part of my Compustar ststem......think thats what it is. Anyway it works great and can start the truck from a long way away. But it's not like the Lone Rangers horse....it won't come and get you. Matter o'fact I think you can program it come on at different times to keep the truck at a comfortable level......

i can look into it. they do have them avaliable for rams with the automatics. can you tell me what year, make and model?

I got one off ebay new for $89 3 years ago and put it on my Chevy Z71.
Took about 4 1/2 hours but I love it for winter it even came with 2 keyless entries that you program for you doors

Ok, Its called a cool start 900 and I forgot I got 2 and never put the other on the wifes car so if you want it for 80.00 shipped its yours?
Also there is 1 on ebay you might get cheaper item #180044257524 its the same thing

THAT INCLUDES
THE REMOTE START
ROLL WINDOWS UP AND DOWN W/THE REMOTE
AND A SENSOR THAT IF SOMEBODY GETS REAL CLOSE TO THE WINDOWS NOT EVEN TOUCHING THEM JUST LIKE TRYING TO SEE INSIDE THE TRUCK IT WILL GO OFF.
IN MY 2004 HEMI JUST THE HEATER WORK BUT W/ MY SRT 10 NOW THE HEATER AND THE AIR COND. WORK W THE ALARM :rock:

I THINK REGULAR ALARM W/ REMOTE START IS AROUND 500+INSTALLATION... It can be installed on the RC's as well with a little bit of magic! I had one on my M3 and it was a stick.

I have all the audio and security wiring codes/colors,location, etc.. for this if you want them.. for a 2006 QC and Reg Cab if you would like me to post them.

there are 2 diffrerent kits that can be used for the remote start.

1 kit is the remote start that will start your vehicle this kit runs for 270.00.

the other kit is a remote start kit adding 1 extra remote with the capability of getting feed back on your vehicles status, received start command / started / running. this will help you know what your vehicle is doing. add this kit for an additional 90.00.

the install time in the book is 1.5 but you can double that (3) that would be a more realistic install time.

both of these kits are instock.
