I just replaced the cover on the brake pedal (Auto trans). The stainless piece with the little rubber nubs on it. One had broke off and my foot was slipping off. The actual part for the truck is on back order and you cant get them. So I ordered the pedal cover for an SRT-8 Jeep. They look exactly the same.
Anyway when I put it on there is a little play in it (never checked to original before I took it off). If you grab it and move it around there is about a 1/16 inch amount of play from the cover to the metal pedal it is attached too (side to side and up and down). Just curious is anyone else with a QC could check to see if theres moves a little if you grab and twist it, like you were unscrewing a lid from a jar.
My Dad tried his pedals on his RC and his moved, like a rock on his Jeep and Challenger. I am not worried about it coming off. Really just curious.
