Anyone know if you can do this? Would love to take that Ram head off the hood and tail gate and replace it with something that looks like Wifey's Viper emblem.

justin at jmb performance makes the replacement viper emblems for the hood.he can do em for the tail gate too.

The hard part is not scratching the hood when pulling it off. I found somewhere on here that there is a hole behind the emblem. You can drill into the middle of the head and then stick an allen wrench in there and pull the rest off. Here is a picture that I kept from the thread I can't find :D

mine already had the hole i had a pick that was bent in the tool box that i used i pried the chrome part off them heated the black that was left with a heat gun to loosen up the tape then popped it off. trimmed the tape off with a razor and stuck the new emblem on there.

JMB Emblems here. Justin custom did mine to match all my powder coat... he pretty much has any color you could dream of.

Here is the one I used on the back. You can get them on Evil-Bay or the Stealership. (newest generation Viper front emblem) in three colors (I think) red, silver, and blue.

I am also wanting one for the front but I have an 05 and the emblem is at the top of the grille and has a "curve" in it. I would try to bend one but I am sure it would "crack"!

If you have a question please utilize the search option...I gaurantee we got a thread that will answer all your questions and save some Bandwidth in the process :D Semper Fi Leatherneck :marchmellow:

JMB justin is the vendor and member on this site. Be very careful when taking the old one off. The area its attached to is plastic and scratches very easy. I had to buy touch up paint as the fishing line cut into the plastic in several places. Use a blow dryer instead.

it can be done with an authentic emblem, but yes, you have to be very careful when bending it, it can crack. i did mine about three years ago, i baked mine in the oven and bend it to fit the upper grille, it did not crack. perhaps i just got lucky. i think others have tried after my instructions, but thiers cracked. if you need any help or advice, let me know. the easy way is to just buy a fake emblem and use that.
