Repo'd SRT-10. Anyone know or remember this truck from the forum?

I am trying to figure out what all may be done to my truck that I am unaware of. Because I didnt do the work myself, and I never spoke to the prior owner, I dont know if the engine is stock or built? I work for Chrysler Financial, and last September we had a difficult repo that was on a 2006 SRT-10 Ram. I kept the truck because the price we were offered at dealer auction was so low, I took the truck myself. I have had 2 other Viper trucks, the last being an 06 Quad. I sold it and kept this one blown reg cab. I bet the owner was on this forum at one time of another. Anyone recognize this decription: the truck is a 2006 reg cab black that came out of the St. Louis Market, but it has an Illinois title. It is solid black, not brilliant black as many 06's are. It had stock wheels, magnaflow catback, It was lowered tremoundously which I also changed(I put a stock suspension back on it). It had a high dollar lowering kit, but simply rode like a tank. It had the Roe Racing door rearview mirrors on it that are small and car-like(i put stock mirrors back on). It had an awesome stereo system in it with a ton of dynamat(which he took out before we repo'd it). It has a polished paxton, black intake manifold, X-metal shifter(which I also got rid of), 3-guage A-pillar, factory nav, 3rd & 4th gear sync's are grinding, tint so dark you couldnt possibly drive the truck at night, even the windshield was tinted, all emblems removed which I also replaced, it has a Roe meth inj kit, a VEC2 pcm. I dunno, anyone know or remember this truck. We repo'd it back last August, and for the price I was able to purchase it at, I couldnt pass it up. Thanks everyone.

Dont know who it might be but you have one rare truck if it is a solid black (no glitter) 2006....even rarer than a nightrunner.........and BTW..welcome to the club..

Dont know who it might be but you have one rare truck if it is a solid black (no glitter) 2006....even rarer than a nightrunner.........and BTW..welcome to the club..

Hey, Oh ye its a night runner too! but the night runner stickers were removed. It still has the night runner name plate on the dash though. Man this must be a rare one!

July 18th and 19th, Austin, TX. DFW guys meeting at 3 or 4 am and headin down there to dyno and possibly race and just have a good time. Houston, San Antonio, Austin and every where close are coming also:rock: :rock: Not sure how heavy some of the trucks are modded. Wade (Tooloe) has a custom setup and sweet painted intake:rock: Finisher is getting a paxton SC put on his QC. Just a lot of bad ass trucks:rock: Also the guy we are going to dyno with can probably answer some question u got. Also take some damn pics

never made sense to me why you'd get your car repoed when you could sell the s/c for about 4 months payments or more, depending...seems better than losing the truck all together:dontknow:

That sounds like Chris Sanders' old truck. His was solid black, blown and he was from southern IL. As far as mods go, I know he spent alot of money with Gary at X-Metal but I couldn't tell you what he got.

I was thinking it was Chris' too when I read the description. Hate to hear he lost it but sounds like a great truck for you Rob. I saw it at a GTG we had in FLA. Nice truck!

OK guys, this Chris Sanders's truck is 100% CERTAINLY my truck. It has the same solid black color, when I got it, it had the car-like mirrors, larger paxton aftercooler radiatator mounted cooler, black tail lights, 3rd & 4th gear grinding issues he speaks of in posts, Xmetal stickers all over the engine bay, black powder coated intake, emblems removed, lowered, massive dark tint, southern IL titled EVERYTHING!!! This is IT, not a doubt in my mind! He quit posting a good few months before it was repo'd, but never mentioned if he ever built an engine for it. I doubt it because the 3rd & 4th syncs are still messed up. I dyno'd it just like it came in about 1 week after I got it, and it put down 621 rwhp at SimpleQuick Racing in Ft. Worth which has a dynojet. It is not a Night Runner, but does have the dash plate. I have done quite a bit to it since I got it:

I removed the Bassani Headers & mid pipes, catback(entire exhaust), & sold it to a customer buying an 06 SRT RC from us at the time.

I had American Racing build a set of their full length Headers & catless mids, then custom built a rear exhaust system with 3-1/2 Pipe & dual Flowmaster 40series 2chambers & ran dual 4" chrome flowmaster tips out the back. The exhaust is now a true Dual system with no h-pipe anywhere.

Replaced the factory plug wires, plugs.

Had the windows re-tinted lighter & removed the windshield tint.

Added a BassWerx Box & 12" Infinity Sub from best buy(worked amazingly well, just spliced the factory wire and it worked and by the way sounds AWESOME! You guys should consider changing your sub out with a new box & sub. The factory amp pushes the aftermarket infinity speaker extremely well, and blows the factory sub to the next zip code.

Powercoated the wheels brilliant black

Night Runner oem headlamps

Removed the black car-like mirrors and replaced with factory mirrors(threw the old mirrors away as I hated the way they looked & they were hard to see out of.

2007-2008 Tail Lights(pain in the ass to figure out)

Put new tires on it

ordered & installed the missing factory SRT10 emblems

Changed out the crappy x-metal shifter in favor of a B&M shifter which IMO is the absolute best shifter out there for these trucks. The x-metal shifter actually twisted as it went into gear and felt weird and also noisy * firm. The B&M has a bit of plushyness to it, quieter, doesnt do the turn thing when it changes gears, and also higher up about 2 inches. I hated bending my arm down to grab the knob on the x-metal one.

I added a bedrug & removed the factory bed floor cover(awesome mod). Now I have a massive trunk & makes the truck much more car-like when carrying groceries or something.



Thats about it. The truck is slightly down on power, and #1 cyl is pretty oily since I first got it. I will probably be building a motor soon. Can anyone tell me what all was done to it that isnt available from searching old threads? Anyone....thanks!
