resonator and cat question?

I am going to make up some catless midpipes on my 04 RC pretty soon and I wanted a few thoughts. Should I also remove the resonator's or leave them in. A friend of mine just bought a POS cobra with the cats removed and just a bassani muffler and it sounds terrible and drones way to much. It made me nervous and I am now thinking I will start with just taking the cats out and leave the rest of the factory system on and see what I have.

Stock exhaust= shitty wimpy sound except at WOT, you can hear it.
Magnaflow or similar catback= much improved sound, little in cab drone,WOT is great.
Cat delete with an aftermarket muffler= much louder, in cab drone for sure at any rpm, WOT, think Nascar loud.......well ok not that loud but everybody is hearing ya. Dont delete the cats if you dont like a loud exhaust note.

I think HotRam has cat delete with the stock muffler.............pm him.

On an 04 ( without the resonators that the 05's have) the cat-delete and stock muffler sounds great to me,BUT !, I needed a cross-over pipe to stop the popping.To me this is this the best bang for the buck out there.Sounds great,low-cost,cops can clearly see the stocker , there is no downside except that it needs a cross-over pipe or "X" pipe to eliminate the popping.
